Sadaqah is collected in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and USA, inshaa Allah. Donations are distributed to various orphanages in the Jakarta region. Food and essentials supplied like towels, toothpaste, soap etc, but mainly money directly to the orphanage managers who choose how to distribute the money e.g. buying food, clothes, repairing/maintaining the orphanage, paying for teachers/running costs of orphanage etc. Also, handing out money directly to the orphans using an envelope. It’s a special time when the children receive donations and you can see happiness in their eyes. It’s a rewarding feeling.
